Ethics & Privacy

Recruitment consulting is a field in which the maintenance of high ethical standards and integrity is absolutely essential. The values of our company are empowered in our consultants and demonstrated by their conduct. In a period when ethics and corporate morality are being called into question by the community, we are proud of the high standard or professional ethics and integrity which we have maintained over the years. We have formalized these standards for the benefit of our clients and candidates. This document outlines our professional code of ethical practice by which we guarantee to abide.

• To declare any potential conflict of interest to the client before agreeing to undertake a consulting brief.

• That any client company involved in ongoing and regular consulting with DWP will be deemed ‘out of bounds’ for any recruitment search activity.

• To ensure that our terms of business are fully understood by the client before undertaking any consulting brief.

• To respect the confidentiality of any information about the client or the candidate, that may be harmful to outside third parties.

• If the employee from a client company responds to a job advertisement or approaches DWP, the employee will be asked to state the nature of their approach in writing before their enquiry is considered.

• To retain the anonymity of the client until clearance for disclosure has been given.

• To abide by the provisions of all relevant legislation relating to our industry such as equal opportunity and anti-discrimination legislation.

• Not to present or refer any candidate details to a client until the candidate has been contacted and permission has been received.

• To provide candidates with objective and professional feedback following interviews with clients.

• Once mutual interest has been established by both parties, to check candidate references in a professional manner, but with deference to the candidates confidentiality prior to an offer being made and accepted.

• No DWP Employee may receive gifts, gratuities or other benefits from representatives of a client company in return for special terms and conditions on consulting agreements.

• If a DWP employee has financial or any other interests in any business associated with a specific client company and brief, the employee’s interest must be declared to the client before commencing work.

• If secondary or Sub-Contractors are engaged by DWP to assist on client assignments, they will abide by this code and our client will be indemnified against unprofessional or negligent behavior.

• Any materials or documents entrusted to DWP by a client for the purpose of executing a brief will be retained in a confidential manner before being returned to the client.
